After several weeks of tagalog posts, I have posted in English finally.
Now, I will be showing to you a chronological list of what will happen in science and technology in the next several years. IT may not be accurate but that’s what I got from most sources.
2008 –
- Old black and white movies are now available in 1080p fullHD via satellite networks.
- 32GB Flash memory now available.
- Release of the new Intel Core i7 Processor by the end of the year.
2009 –
- A next generation space telescope likely to launch. Sees objects 400 times more faint than now possible, using a mirror 3.5x larger than that of the Hubble Space Telescope.
- 64+GB Flash memory will be available to the market.
- Flourishing of the Web 3.0
- America goes from analog to fully digital on local television broadcasting.
2010 – 
- Testing Expected on NASA’s 2nd Generation re-usable launch vehicle that will replace the Space Shuttle.
- Earliest expected beta release for Windows 7.
- Philippine president Gloria Arroyo ends term
(YIPPEE!!!roflol!!!) - The International Space Station will be finally completed after several tons of delays.
- Robotic pets, programmed to recognize their master’s voice and face, operate and control all the computerized functions of the household.
2012
- earliest predicted date for America’s men to return to the moon.
- a near perfect invisibility cloak may be developed.
- earliest prediction date for development of a working fifth-generation computer (since Japan tried it in early 1990’s but failed).
- 16-5nanometer circuit architecture for computers now possible.
2015
- Microsoft will put Windows OS to extinction by developing a new OS codenamed ‘Midori’
- earliest predicted date for manned mission to Mars.
- Genetic roots of all diseases are identified.
- Multi-core processors (80+ cores)will be commercially sold.
2016
The holographic telephone projects a life-size holograpic image of the person being called just like in Star Wars.
2020
- The Philippines, depending on the people that will run her, MAY become a first world country just like it was in the 1960’s.
- A flying wing aircraft are able to carry 1,00 passengers up to a distance of 9,000 kms at average speeds of 900km/h
2022
Fetuses conceived in vitro mature to term in extra-uterine incubators and are born without ever having been inside a human womb. (bit spooky…)
2025
- Computers connected directly to the brain are able to recognize and respond to thoughts, obviating the need for the manual input of data and commands.
- Testing expected on NASA’s third-generation re-usable vehicle.
2030
Following on the development of artificial lungs, kidneys and livers, doctors can now create artificial legs and fully functional artificial eyes.
2044
- Microscopic robots capable of reproducing themselves are devised using nanotechnology.
- Testing expected on NASA’s fourth-generation re-usable vehicle.
- A permanent human colony on Mars is established. Terraformation of the planet is around 10% complete.
2060
earliest completion date for a space transit and hotel.
Looks like I had a nice prophecy! It’s a bit enjoyable to know what will there be in the future.
